Orlando, Fla. (March 12, 2021) – A great measure of future success for startup businesses is how they perform at various pitch competitions against other great businesses.

In one of its first competitions, Orlando-based FLUIX won.

The company, which is developing high performance liquid cooling solutions for high performance workstations, came out on top, winning the $10,000 prize with a unanimous vote from the judges.

“This is truly incredible because the level of competition from the other companies was significant and each of them has a great future,” says Abhishek Sastri, CEO and co-founder, FLUIX. “Knowing that the Orlando entrepreneurial and business community really supports local startups is reassuring, we are proud to be picked as the winner and look forward to growing in Orlando.”

Eight Orlando start-up companies pitched at the UCF Technology Ventures Symposium on February 17. Six members of Orlando’s venture capital and entrepreneurship community served as the judges to simulate the reality of raising venture funds.

“Find your Hidden Gem in Central Florida” was the goal of the symposium, as venture capital firms were invited to learn more about the little known startups in the local ecosystem.

The all-UCF founding team of FLUIX launched their consumer business focused on designing & manufacturing advanced liquid cooling gaming systems for PC enthusiasts and gamers last fall.

Now, the company is expanding into lowering data processing times in the architecture, engineering and construction industry by leveraging their patent-pending liquid cooling technology to increase workstation performance.

“Current Workstation’s can take hours or even days to process large renderings, such as skyscrapers, says Sastri, who is a graduate of the UCF School of Engineering. “Our data shows that our liquid cooling technology can help reduce those times significantly.”
