Orlando-Based REDCON Secures Federal Contract Worth Up to $2.5 Million

Orlando, Fla. – Redcon Solutions Group (REDCON) recently announced that the multifaceted service-based company has been awarded a five-year contract by the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The Orlando-based Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business has the potential to earn up to $2.5 million from the Blanket Service Agreement (BPA), in which REDCON will provide security support services in seven states throughout the southeast region during declared disasters.

The contract, which runs from March 23, 2016 to March 22, 2021, has a ceiling amount of $500,000 for the base year as well as the four option year periods.

REDCON will provide armed guards to support security or guard services for Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina and Tennessee disaster facilities, such as Disaster Recovery Centers and Joint Field Offices, as well as other facilities identified by on scene FEMA staff.

“We are honored to have established a partnership with FEMA,” said Kyle Evans, President and Founder of Redcon Solutions Group. “The term ‘REDCON’ refers to a unit’s readiness to respond, and just like our namesake, Redcon Solutions Group will be ready to assist FEMA with their relief efforts whenever a disaster strikes.”

Evans, who retired as a U.S. Army Staff Sergeant after being wounded during Operation Iraqi Freedom, founded Redcon Solutions Group in 2014. Combined, Evans and his leadership team have more than 20 years of government, military, corporate and non-profit sector experience.
