New Conference Slated to Help Companies Launch American Presence

Daytona Beach, Fla. (November 06, 2018) – For many companies, expanding to the United States is a daunting task that affects all aspects of a company’s business.

This month, the Volusia County Business Incubator is bringing together experts from around the country to help businesses looking to establish a foothold in this country.

“Our soft-landing program has helped hundreds of companies reach markets that were often just a dream when they started,” says Connie Garzon-Bernal, associate director and site manager, Volusia County Business Incubator. “By bringing this group together, we’re providing a critical resource for any business looking to expand here in United States or/and internationally.”

The conference, taking place November 13 – 15, will cover topics such as:

  • American culture
  • Market analysis
  • Entry strategy formation
  • Demand for products
  • Immigration
  • Accounting and financing
  • Intellectual property
  • Establishing a business and taxes
  • Customs and border control
  • Imports and Exports

Specifically, the program is geared for executives from middle- to large-sized companies who are about to expand their operation in the United States. The program features speakers from the U.S. Department of Commerce, US Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations Orlando International Airport, investment banking firms, law firms and investment groups.

“When attendees leave this conference, they will be very equipped to expand their services to the United States,” Garzon-Bernal says. “Plus, they will be eligible to join our program providing them extended services as they grow.

The conference takes place at the Volusia County Business Incubator, 601 Innovation Way, Daytona Beach. It’s sponsored by Team Volusia, the economic development agency for the greater Daytona region.
