Exam Plus in Winter Springs Earns Major Contract with Lake County Transit

Winter Springs, Fla. — Exam Plus, a Winter Springs company that provides comprehensive substance abuse programs for a broad range of corporate and government employers, recently earned a major contract to serve Lake County Transit Management, which provides paratransit and fixed-route services through McDonald Transit Associates.

José A. Batista, MBA, PHR, President and CEO of Exam Plus, said the three-year contract that involves more than 150 employees authorizes Exam Plus as the third party administrator of drug and alcohol testing, background checks and safety programs for Lake County Transit Management.

Batista said his company is essentially joining the Lake County Transit Management team to provide a safe workplace for LakeXpress, the county’s fixed-route public transportation system and Lake County Connection, the county’s complimentary ADA and disadvantaged public transit service for qualified individuals.

“Our organization is in effect contributing to the safety of the 300,000 residents throughout 14 municipalities in Lake County who use the transit system to connect to work centers, and recreational venues,” said Batista.

Exam Plus is a client company of the University of Central Florida Business Incubation Program located at 1511 E. State Road 434 in Winter Springs.
