What do you enjoy most about your work?

We help inventors and entrepreneurs gain market access in areas they would normally be challenged to enter. Watching our clients and our technology give an investor or customer an “ah hah” moment is the most rewarding aspect of our work.

What inspired you to start your business?

Watching many good ideas fail, not based upon merit, but rather lack of access or limited ability to understand market forces drove us to create Sub Rosa

What gets you out of bed every morning?

Knowing our work benefits society by reducing threats consequences, while helping US inventors and entrepreneurs succeed.

What is your secret to making progress each day?

We  have the same will and determination as Sisyphus. We work tirelessly on behalf of our technology and those we partner with to bring these capabilities forward.

Tell us one thing people don’t know about you.

We all have had very successful careers elsewhere and decided to begin our professional journeys all over again.

A typical weekend for me is…

Outdoors sports with family, diving, hiking, skiing, golfing, etc…

What will people get from your business that they won’t get anywhere else?

Attention and advocacy that is personalized and focused.

Have you won any awards or had any special recognition or acknowledgement of your business?

We have a number of patents and been selected as Best New Product by several Security Industry Journals. SRV has been down-selected to present advanced sensing techniques at US SOCOM’s Technical Evaluation 2023 in Avon Park, FL, US Navy Special Warfare’s Trident Spectre 2023 at Ft. Story, VA and DoD’s Tech Connect 2023 at National Harbor, MD. Most recently, SRV was invited by DOE to collocate with them in their booth at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.

What are your plans for the future of your business?

With over a dozen active advanced sensing patents, SRV has made inroads into a number of preeminent agencies and corporations including, but not limited to the Defense Intelligence Agency, US Special Operation Command, the Defense Advance Research Projects Agency, DOE, Pratt Whitney, CISCO, and others. Inherent in SRV’s efforts to date is a focus on persistent unattended sensing in a variety of physical forms including, temperature, strain, vibration, chemical detection, and physiological phenomenon including advanced forms of human internal central nervous system and circulatory monitoring. These areas form the core of an Internet of Things (IOT) competency that has legitimate end-to-end sensing improvements in areas like Smart Cities implementations, advanced manufacturing solutions and avant-garde defense sensing requirements. Advanced machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) suites can provide efficiencies in these systems that have yet to be considered. In many cases the efficiencies can cover the implementation and equipment costs in months, not years.

What’s your secret talent no one knows about?

I sang in a Rock Band when I was younger.

What did you want to be when growing up?

A lawyer. I became one later in life, but I did become what I hoped to be when I was young.

What is your favorite thing to do in the wonderful area of Central Florida?

I am an avid diver. My life beyond work and family centers on open water diving.

What would people never guess you do in your role?

Most people would not know we were asked by the Government to start this business and that much of our work is quietly exposed to us.

What do you love most about your industry?

We keep people safe.

How have you advanced professionally since starting your business?

We are early in our corporate life with ties to companies that have many decades or even a century of experience and we been able to gain respect and advocacy quite early in our existence.
