Maitland, Fla. – March 4, 2026 – Aurora InfoTech, a Cybersecurity and IT consulting firm based in Maitland, FL, reinforced its commitment to Cybersecurity education and community leadership by delivering a series of high-impact instructional sessions at Florida Preparatory Academy’s Career Day on February 27 in Melbourne, Florida.
As cyber threats continue to increase in sophistication and frequency, Aurora InfoTech took a proactive role in equipping students with practical knowledge to recognize and prevent common digital attacks. Chief Security Officer Roy Richardson led four consecutive interactive sessions for rotating student groups across grades 5 through 12, transforming career exploration into a meaningful Cybersecurity awareness experience.
The sessions centered on Cybersecurity fundamentals, phishing awareness, and the importance of maintaining vigilance in today’s digital environment. Through real-world examples and guided discussion, students gained insight into how cybercriminals exploit trust, urgency, and human behavior through deceptive emails, malicious links, and social engineering tactics.
Students were equipped with practical strategies to strengthen their personal Cybersecurity posture, including:
Understanding Modern Cyber Threats – How phishing and social engineering attacks affect individuals and organizations.
Recognizing Warning Signs – Identifying suspicious emails, fraudulent links, and common manipulation tactics used by attackers.
Practicing Digital Discipline – Strengthening password habits, protecting sensitive information, and thinking critically before engaging online.
Exploring Career Pathways in Cybersecurity – Learning about certifications, educational tracks, and opportunities in one of the fastest-growing industries worldwide.
“I am extremely grateful to welcome our alumnus, Roy, back to Florida Preparatory Academy for the third consecutive year to support his alma mater through an engaging Cybersecurity presentation,” said Susannah Johnston, Head of School at Florida Preparatory Academy. “Our students, including our younger 5th and 6th graders, were highly engaged, and Roy inspired them to think about how Cybersecurity connects to their daily lives and future careers. It was a meaningful experience for our school community.”
“Cybersecurity is no longer optional; it is essential,” said Roy Richardson, Chief Security Officer of Aurora InfoTech. “By teaching students how to recognize phishing attempts and apply safe online practices, we are giving them skills that protect them today and prepare them for tomorrow. At the same time, we are opening their eyes to meaningful career opportunities in a rapidly expanding field.”
By delivering multiple structured sessions throughout the event, Aurora InfoTech demonstrated its sustained investment in strengthening digital awareness among the next generation. The company’s involvement reflects its broader security-first mission: empowering individuals, organizations, and communities to operate confidently in an evolving threat landscape.
As digital risks continue to expand across industries and everyday life, Aurora InfoTech remains dedicated to proactive education initiatives that reduce vulnerability, build resilience, and inspire future Cybersecurity leaders throughout Florida.
