Orlando, Fla. (February 17, 2024) Last month, the Florida Small Business Development Center at the University of Central Florida announced its Entrepreneur of the Year nominees and awards.

Congratulations to Brisa America Corp. on being one of 13 nominees in Central Florida for this award. Brisa America Corp. is a client of the UCF Business Incubator in Kissimmee.

“The team at Brisa America Corp. have worked extremely hard over the past few years to become established in the United States and I’m very proud for them to receive this recognition,” says Esther Vargas, site manager, UCF Business Incubation Program. “Being nominated clearly shows they have achieved a level of success, which is validated through third-party assessments such as this.”

According to its release, “the FSBDC at UCF Small Business Excellence Award program recognizes local small business owners for their innovation, determination, and resilience as demonstrated by the growth of their business and through their contributions to their communities.

“Nominations from across Central Florida were made by FSBDC at UCF consultants to acknowledge their clients’ significant growth; their resourcefulness in overcoming the challenges presented by small business ownership; and their involvement in their communities.”

Brisa America Corp. joined the UCF Business Incubation Program in 2017 and offers software development and IT services for government and commercial clients. The company has operated in Brazil for more than 30 years before entering the United States market.
