Tech Rage IT’s Matt Rose Honors Friend with Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Fundraising Effort

Winter Springs, Fla., March 10, 2020 – College is often a place where bonds are formed, where people meet and start their shared memories of a lifetime as friends.

Matt Rose, Tech Rage IT’s Director of Technology Services believed that to be true with his friend, Lance Nadolne.

The two met at the University at Albany in New York during their sophomore year in 2000. They became instant friends while Rose studied Information Science and Nadolne studied Communications.

Just four years later, Nadolne died from Cystic Fibrosis, a horrid disease which fills a person’s lungs with mucus and limits their ability to breathe.

It was too soon.

Nadolne had received a lung transplant. He was expected to live many more years, possibly into his 40s or 50s. But, sadly, he came down with an infection and lost one of his lungs, which led to multiple complications.

To help find a cure so others don’t endure the same pain of losing a loved one to CF, Rose has committed to raising money as part of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundations’ Rising Stars fundraising campaign.

“I’m devoted to honoring my friend through my affiliation with this organization,” said Rose. “And the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has given me the opportunity to better the lives of children and adults living with CF.”

Each year, local chapters of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation choose select volunteers to honor at an annual event. The chosen honorees exemplify leadership qualities, are active in volunteer roles and have excelled in the business community. Those selected are among the most prominent, influential, and successful young professionals in their community.

In Central Florida, up to fifteen individuals will be chosen and recognized for their achievements at the Rising Stars celebration on May 7, 2020.
