REDCON CEO Joins Florida’s Premier Leadership Program
Orlando, Fla., August 25, 2016 – REDCON Solutions Group, an Orlando-based security, professional and facilities service company, announced today its CEO, Kyle Evans, will join the latest cohort of Connect Florida’s Statewide Leadership Institute. The annual highly selective program helps educate, engage and inspire the state’s top emerging leaders to make Florida a better place.
The Connect Florida program offers an intensive orientation to the issues facing Florida and is designed to enhance the participants’ leadership skills, provide practical experience in community service, and facilitate opportunities to interact with statewide leaders.
Over a 10-month period, Evans and the 45 other leaders in the program will travel throughout the state focusing on key issues and opportunities in Florida.
“I am honored and excited to be part of such a dynamic group of young leaders,” said Evans. “This program will provide us with the insights, connections, and skills to better serve our state.”
Evans, 33, retired as a U.S. Army Staff Sergeant in 2010 after being wounded during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After his eight-year military career, the Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient served as a vocational rehabilitation specialist at the Orlando V.A. Medical Center and founded a nonprofit focused on providing safe, stable housing for homeless veterans.
