Real Time Scoreboard Technology Company Launches Newest Case Study

Winter Springs, Fla. – Sportzcast, a Central Florida leader in real time scoreboard technology, announces their newest case study using their ScoreConnect device. Users can now provide a richer media fan experience at their sporting events.

Wekiva High School’s Sports Information Director, Mark Bartschi, has experimented with Sportzcast’s Score Connect device to test the user experience when utilized with a live XML program and Photoshop elements from Extreme Sports Pack Pro. Using these elements together allows Bartschi, a long time Sportzcast customer, to enhance his digital scoreboard to include player stats, pre-roll video, promotional videos and advertisements.

Bartschi explained “We have used Sportzcast products for several years to provide live online data from our scoreboards, as well as live scoreboard overlays on our live stream we put on YouTube. We recently started using the Sportzcast Score Connect device to also provide data into our video score table that we got from Orange County Public Schools over the summer so we can provide a more rich media experience to our fans even to those sitting in the arena. Using Sportzcast’s Score Connect device has allowed us to save nearly $20,000.00 in upgrading our system to feature players names, team logos, colors, video and graphics on our scoreboard. This device is much more economical and still allows us to feed our scoreboard to both our website and YouTube channel. When there is a time-out or any other delay in a game, we can feature our advertisers and promotional videos then immediately get back to the scoreboard. This device is a real game changer for us in the way we can communicate the scores and player data.”

Since 2008 Sportzcast has been providing high school, college and professional sporting venues with both the hardware and software to deliver real-time game data to fans attending the events in person and those following the sporting events online. Sportzcast manufactures and sells two devices, ScoreLink and ScoreHub. Both of these devices offer a universal interface so users can connect to virtually any scoreboard make and model. With Sportzcast solutions clients can enhance their scoreboard with video overlays, real time scores can be delivered to websites and social media and coaches can also benefit from instant replay tools and play assessments. In addition to their hardware, Sportzcast also offers a variety of software solutions that are used with ScoreLink and ScoreHub so game data feeds are completely automated to any scoreboard type and scores are 100% accurate and live from the scorekeeper.

High schools, colleges, universities and professional sporting venues across the United States have improved their delivery of sports data thanks to Sportzcast’s enhancement in scoreboard technology. Their solution can be used on basketball scoreboards, baseball scoreboards, football scoreboards and many more sports scoreboards. Owner and co-founder Mike Connell stated “We are very happy to see one of our long-time clients taking our technology one step further to provide a more rich media experience. Gone are the days of a scoreboard that just features game scores. As spectators get more sophisticated, they want to see player stats along with the scores. The ability for a venue to feature team logos, promotional videos and other imaging allows for additional sponsorship revenue as well. Our solution is a real win for any educational institution as well as professional sports leagues.”

In addition to providing their solutions to colleges and high schools, Sportzcast also works with production companies, professional teams and leagues as well as college conferences. In April, 2020 Sportzcast will be exhibiting at the National Association of Broadcasters show (NAB) in Las Vegas, NV. Show attendees can visit Sportzcast in booth #SL4711. At the NAB show in 2019 Sportzcast won Best of Show in the TV/Technology category. In addition, Sportzcast is also a member of the Sports Video Group (SVG).
