Dr. Wanda Bonet-Gascot President of DRW Life Skills Institute Honored with the Individual Champion of Change award from The Beacon Network

Kissimmee, Fla. – Dr. Wanda Bonet-Gascot, president of DrW Life Skills Institute in Kissimmee, was recently presented with the “Individual Champion of Change Award” from The Beacon Network, a professional multicultural organization.

Four awards were presented Jan. 29 during the Fourth Annual Champions of Change Luncheon at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort — Individual Champion of Change, Corporate Champion of Change, Non-Profit (501(c)3 or 501(c)6) Champion of Change and Governmental Champion of Change.

Dr. Bonet-Gascot’s Individual Champion of Change Award honors an individual who is a model of and actively fosters and encourages diversity, along with inclusion in his / her day-to-day life and is a true advocate for change in the community.

The annual event has brought together diversity champions from across Central Florida for several years, but this was the first time the organization presented the Champion of Change Awards.

The nominees and winners are outstanding representatives of diversity, inclusion and change throughout Central Florida.  The three other awardees were Seminole State College, Corporate Champion of Change; Holocaust Center of Florida, Non-Profit Champion of Change and City of Orlando, Governmental Champion of Change.
