Capacitech Energy and Twenty20 Energy Announce Collaboration to Unlock Stranded Capacity, Accelerate Projects, and Protect Power Infrastructure

Capacitech Energy, Inc. (“Capacitech”) and Twenty20 Energy USA LLC (“Twenty20”) today announced a strategic global collaboration focused on addressing energy infrastructure constraints facing artificial intelligence (AI) data centers, behind-the-meter generation systems, and the electricity grid. By integrating Twenty20’s deep capabilities in energy project engineering, execution, and asset management with Capacitech’s supercapacitor-based power conditioning product lines, the two companies aim to deploy practical and scalable power resilience solutions.

AI workloads have fundamentally altered power delivery requirements for data centers and the grid infrastructure they are connected to. Traditional power systems and battery energy storage systems (BESS) were not designed to handle millisecond-to-second-scale, cyclical power fluctuations. These fluctuations result in power quality issues that destabilize the grid and accelerate degradation of infrastructure.

“Modern data center power demand is highly volatile,” said Joe Sleppy, CEO of Capacitech Energy. “Practical innovation and collaboration are the best way to solve this problem. Working with Twenty20 unites our C-Link™ and C-Stack™ product lines with world-class engineering and project execution capabilities. Together, we are smoothing power demand to unlock stranded capacity and accelerate projects.”

Capacitech and Twenty20 are aligning technical and commercial resources to execute multiple GW’s of project activity through 2030. By integrating Capacitech’s modular supercapacitor solutions with onsite power generation infrastructure and BESS, Twenty20 can deliver better solutions to its data center, behind-the-meter generation, and utility clients through greater flexibility, lower costs, and faster deployment.

“The constraint on AI is not chips or capital; it is megawatts that can actually be energized,” said Geoff Lawrence, CEO of Twenty20 Energy. “Capacitech helps us build power blocks sized for what a cluster averages rather than what it peaks at for two seconds. That difference is more efficient infrastructure builds, and more compute our clients can deploy; on generation we build or connections they already hold.”
