OptiGrate brought to market the innovative technology of volume Bragg-grating optical filters, which are used in industries including defense, aerospace, telecommunications, and microchip fabrication. OptiGrate was named a 2011 “Florida Companies to Watch” award winner. In 2012, the company moved to a larger manufacturing facility and was awarded the President’s Award by the Manufacturers Association of Central Florida (MACF) in the small manufacturer category.
