Omega Photonics Systems is focused on developing integrated photonic systems based on UCF licensed technology for artificial intelligence computation and sensing components in industrial, aerospace, defense, gaming, and other areas where high-performance processing is needed at substantially lower power consumption than current AI processing technologies at a size on the order of a large smartphone.
Development of a photonic chip is still in the university research phase with OPS working with UCF on transitioning to a commercial prototype. OPS is seeking seed investment to work alongside Army STTR funding to launch a product line for venture capital investment for full commercialization and market placement.
