SUMMARY:Growing New Opportunities
DESCRIPTION:This is part of a new series of events on government contracting\, acquisition and business development. This course\, Effective Low-Cost Capture for Small Business\, lasts six weeks. All six weeks can be booked or just sign up for one! \nWeek 3: Growing New Opportunities \nEvery business needs to create new opportunities to thrive. It’s more than just constantly reviewing newly posted opportunities on a website; it requires actively engaging with potential customers before the RFP is released. \nThis class teaches: \n\nThree basic items to have to build customer interest\nThe best practices in using them (most firms apply them improperly to their own peril)\,\nWhat to do and not to do in your customer engagements\,\nWays to find (and expand) your customer markets\,\nWays to help generate your requirements and\nWays to predict them.\n\nIn-person attendance is encouraged; however\, a virtual option is available. \nUpcoming classes in this series include: \n\nClass 4: Finding Geographically Centric Opportunities\nClass 5: Finding Orlando-Specific Opportunities\nClass 6: Conference Strategies\n\nPresented by David P. Grow CEO\, Defense Proposals Group\nDave retired from the Government after 37+ years serving the Army\, Navy\, Air Force\, and OSD\, including serving as Project Manager (PM) for an OSD-led program that funded and executed crucial developments for every DOD test organization. He held roles as PM\, Deputy Security Assistance Management Director (SAMD)\, Chief Engineer\, Staff Action Officer\, and Manager. Dave worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground\, MD; the Pentagon; the National Capital Region; and at PEO STRI in Orlando\, FL. \nHe has served as PM\, SBIR Resource Sponsor\, Engineer\, and Test Director across numerous systems\, geographies and positions. Dave managed the award of Government contracts valued up to $2.4B\, sponsored SBIR programs\, supported the development of numerous air\, land\, and sea weapons programs\, and led many complex developmental and integration projects. \nDave’s current bid and proposal specialization work evolved from leading over 60 source selections (evaluating hundreds of proposals) for multiple Government agencies. This array of experience enables clients to successfully compete for competitive\, non-competitive\, and SBIR/BAA vehicles. He brings the eye and understanding of an experienced and trained evaluator\, engineer\, PM\, COR\, and resource sponsor to his clients\, ensuring that each proposal delivers the information critical to the next win.

SUMMARY:CDRLs\, DIDs\, and their Impacts
DESCRIPTION:Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items are task-specific deliverables\, inclusive of detailed instructions on their submission. Some can cause substantial cost or labor expenditures for industry. This class explores how CDRLs and Data Item Descriptors (DIDs) relate\, how CDRLs are generated\, what they tell you in the RFP (and draft RFPs\, which welcome you to recommend improvements)\, and how to better your performance and your negotiating capabilities by understanding them. \nIn-person attendance is encouraged; however\, a virtual option is available. \nUpcoming classes in this series include: \n\nQuality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASPs)\nSWOT Analyses and Bid/No Bid Decision Making\nAvoiding Common Proposal Team Problems and Pitfalls\n\nPresented by David P.
